This pipe was carved on commission by Woktela, and presented to President Ronald Reagan by Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. for use at the Reagan-Gorbachev Peace Accords of 1985 in Geneva that ended the Cold War and brought the Berlin Wall and Iron Curtain down. The pipe is carved in black argillite with an ailanthus wooden stem and a braided buckskin mantle. The double-effigy pipe is carved in a modern plains-style design with a Russian Bear and an American Eagle holding an olive branch in their mouths which also encircles the bowl.
